Children ages 3 years to grade 5 are invited to join the Syosset Public Library’s summer reading club: Color Our World. Sign-up begins June 11 and runs through Friday, August 8. Beginning June 23, you can start recording the books you have read. If you read and record at least one book a week, you will get the prize for that week and a chance for the weekly raffle. WHY SHOULD I DO THIS?
Studies have shown that reading for pleasure and enjoyment has a positive impact both academically and socially. Reading can provide stress relief, increase empathy, improve your vocabulary, and develop your writing skills. There are books for everyone, let’s find yours!
