For Teens going into grades 6-12 in September
Monday, June 22 to Saturday, August 1
How It Works
Starting Monday, June 22, you can begin to record your minutes on READsquared. You can sign in whenever you want to log your time. Record 100 minutes of reading each week to be entered into the weekly raffles. Reading and recording 600 minutes completes the program, and you will receive an emailed invitation to the Summer Reading Wrap Up Party!
The Teen Summer Reading Program is 6 weeks long (1,008 hours) 600 minutes to finish the program = 10 hours You can do it!
What to Read
You can read anything from fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, audiobooks, whatever you like, even the books you need to read for school! The one rule is that you can only enter minutes from the books you read starting June 22. If you read something at the beginning of June, it doesn't count towards your minutes, but we are proud of you!
Weekly Raffles
Every week prize winners will be randomly drawn from whoever has entered 100 minutes on their READsquared account for that week. You will be contacted if you are a winner.
Missions & Badges
Complete these fun activities to earn fun digital badges on READsquared. There are no physical prizes for completing missions and earning badges.
Reviews
You can add reviews if you want on READsquared. These will just be for fun and will not count towards weekly raffle prizes or reviews for community service.
Summer Reading Wrap Up Party
As mentioned before, to complete the 2026 Teen Summer Reading Club, you need to record 600 minutes of reading. The program will end on Saturday, August 1, so make sure you get those minutes in as soon as possible. When you finish and have logged your minutes before the program closes, you will receive an email with an invitation to the Summer Reading Wrap Up Party! We will be going bowling on August 13 (remember- it's by invitation only!). There will be snacks, drinks, and raffles! Please RSVP as soon as possible.
