Paws: Hazel Has Her Hands Full

I really like the Paws series, and I especially like cats with graphic novels. My favorite character is Mindy because she and her mom have a close connection and they have lots of fun together. Hazel's mom can be a bit much most of the time because I understand how Hazel feels when her mom takes complete control over her life. The cat, Egg makes it more cute looking by the look of it from one eye and one ear. Bobo, the grey cat, seems stubborn but only listens for food.

Drama

Drama is my favorite out of all of Telgemier's books because this one is about a romantic story of high schoolers who are stuck in between love. They also all are part of the drama club that performs shows. The protagonist, Callie has very difficulties with trusting a boy that she can like because her first crush kept on going back to his ex. Her new boyfriend had hardships to like boys or girls, but he still likes Callie. Her new boyfriend has a twin brother that is gay, Callie's friend tags along to make sure that his parents don't know that he is gay.

The House On Mango Street
by Sandra Cisneros

Esperanza's new house is on Mango Street and she doesn't like the place because she doesn't fit in and she is becoming of age. I didn't like how Sally went to play with other boys and left Esperanza alone with a guy. He called her "Spanish girl" and the reader can tell how she doesn't fit in and many people stereotype her background. After Sally got married, I think her husband won't allow her to go outside and hang out because of her appearance. He might be jealous about Sally's appearance and how she attracts boys.
